Name

Jack Kelly

Title

Director of Instruction & Player Development

Jack grew up playing all sports before falling in love with golf on the fairways of Mount Si Golf Course. He began competing through Washington Junior Golf Association and went on to play in numerous AJGA national tournaments and qualified for the prestigious Junior Worlds at Torrey Pines at the age of 16. He was a state champion at Mount Si High School as well as a PNGA Public Links champion which helped him earn a scholarship to play golf and attend Western Washington University. During his college playing career he had one individual victory but he argues his highlight was his team reaching the match play semi-finals of the National Championship his freshman year. Name

Aron Fine

Title

Assistant Golf Professional

I am a lifelong Seattle-area resident, growing up in Kirkland, WA and graduating from Juanita High School. I am 25 years old and have been playing the game of golf since the age of 8. I was introduced to golf through The First Tee and spent multiple summers of my childhood going through their program. During high school, I mainly focused on soccer and baseball, winning a state title in soccer as a freshman. After graduating high school in 2015, I rediscovered my love for golf in college at the University of Idaho. I moved back to Washington and started working in the bag room here at Glendale in the spring of 2019 and after two years, transitioned into the shop as an Assistant Golf Professional. In my time here at Glendale, I have learned a lot more about the golf swing and look forward to sharing my knowledge of the game of golf with our members.

Matt Essig

Title

Tournament Operations

I was born and raised in Seattle. I love this city and region with a passion, no matter how much the Seahawks, Mariners, and winter-time weather test my patience. I mostly played golf, tennis, and soccer growing up, but also swam for a couple years in high school. I graduated from Bishop Blanchet High School. I then attended the University of Washington for a couple years studying Construction Management before switching to Central Washington University and graduating with a Business degree. Every job I’ve ever had has been in the golf industry. I started out as a caddie at Seattle Golf Club. I was then on the grounds crew at Tumble Creek for five summers. Most recently, I worked in the golf shops at Suncadia for five years, the last year being a manager. I am so excited to now join this great Glendale team, help them run tournaments, and serve the membership.

Name

Lori Pearson

Title

Pro Shop Staff Support

Lori grew up in Seattle, WA where she enjoyed playing basketball, soccer, and softball starting at an early age. Golf came along at the age of 13 when her parents won an auction prize that was a lesson from a PGA golf pro. The lesson sparked an interest in this sport and hobby that she could play with her dad on weekends. Lori went on to play golf, basketball & softball in high school at Blanchet, followed by 4 years on the Seattle University golf team. At Seattle U, she majored in Sport & Exercise Science and hoped to someday become a Physical Therapist, but when she was offered a job as an Assistant Golf Pro at Sand Point Country Club right when college ended – she couldn’t pass it up! Lori dove right into teaching while at Sand Point CC and this is when she really fell in love with junior golf. Lori started a PGA junior league team there and still has a passion for this.
